In short

eSIM data plans give devices with built-in embedded SIM support the same multi-network roaming and IP options as our physical SIM cards – dynamic IP from £2.20/month, private IP with VPN, or fixed public IP – provisioned remotely rather than via a physical card.

How eSIM provisioning works

Rather than receiving a physical SIM card to insert into a device, an eSIM-capable router or gateway has its connectivity profile loaded onto an embedded chip. This is particularly useful for devices deployed in hard-to-reach locations, sealed enclosures, or large-scale rollouts where physically distributing and inserting SIM cards to every site adds time and cost.

Data plans and IP options

The underlying data plans and IP addressing options for eSIM are the same as our physical SIM products. If your devices only need outbound connectivity, our dynamic IP roaming plans starting at £2.20/month for 1GB apply equally to eSIM. If you need remote access into the device, private IP with VPN or fixed public IP are also available on eSIM.

Hardware with eSIM support

Several routers in the Teltonika and Milesight ranges include eSIM alongside physical SIM slots, often used for zero-touch deployment where the device connects to a bootstrap profile on first power-up before downloading its full operator profile. If you’re specifying hardware for a new rollout and eSIM is important to your deployment plan, let us know and we can recommend models that support it alongside the right data plan.
