In short

We supply SIM cards configured for the full range of Teltonika industrial routers – RUT, RUTX, RUTM and RUTC series – including dual-SIM failover setups and configurations for Teltonika RMS remote management. The right SIM type depends on whether the router needs remote access: dynamic IP for outbound-only connectivity, private IP with VPN for secure remote access to the router and its LAN, or fixed public IP for direct inbound access.

SIM cards across the Teltonika range

Teltonika’s router range spans compact single-SIM models through to dual-modem industrial gateways, and our SIM cards work across all of them. The choice of SIM type is largely independent of which Teltonika model you’re using – it comes down to how the router is accessed:

  • General internet access (the router provides connectivity to a site, with no remote login requirement) – dynamic IP roaming SIM, from £2.20/month
  • Remote management via VPN (you need to log into the router or devices on its LAN remotely) – private IP roaming SIM with VPN
  • Direct inbound access (a third-party system connects directly to the router’s public IP) – fixed public IP SIM

Dual-SIM failover

Models such as the RUT901 and several in the RUTX range include dual physical SIM slots with automatic failover, switching between SIMs based on signal strength, data usage or connection status. For sites where connectivity is business-critical, we can supply two SIMs on different underlying networks for true multi-network resilience – so an issue affecting one network doesn’t take down both connections at once. Let us know your router model and we can recommend a SIM combination.

Remote management with Teltonika RMS

Teltonika RMS is a cloud-based remote management platform that the router connects to outbound, giving you configuration access, monitoring and firmware updates without needing inbound access to the router itself. RMS works over any of our SIM types. Where RMS covers your remote management needs for the router itself, a dynamic IP SIM is often sufficient. Where you additionally need VPN access into devices connected to the router’s LAN – cameras, PLCs, sensors – a private IP SIM adds that capability.

Docker-capable routers (RUTC series)

The RUTC series supports running Docker containers directly on the router, which can include VPN clients, monitoring agents or custom applications. The SIM connectivity requirements for these routers follow the same logic as above based on how the router and its containerised services need to be accessed.

For specific Teltonika models and current stock, our colleagues at Router Store hold the full active range as an authorised Teltonika Diamond Partner. We can supply SIM cards alongside a new router order, or for routers you already have in place.
